PERFORM assists organizations and portfolios in setting goals, measuring progress against user-defined targets, and obtaining third-party verification from the Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) to demonstrate improvement and progress. As outlined in the PERFORM Program Guide, PERFORM supports various portfolio-level metrics across emissions, energy, water, waste, health, resilience, biodiversity and social impact. PERFORM complements USGBC’s globally recognized LEED green building system. Whereas LEED certifies individual buildings and projects to a consensus-based leadership standard, PERFORM works with entire real estate portfolios to help set goals, manage progress, make improvements over time, and verify achievements.
