Logos

GBCI's logo should be used with the utmost consistency and integrity.

To request these logo files, please send an email to marketing@usgbc.org with details about how the logo will be used, your contact information, and any other pertinent information.

The wordmark is contemporary and confident. The minimalist custom lettering mirrors the clarity of our mission.

Our logo should only be seen in any of the primary colors or black and white. Files have been provided for each of these color variations. The logo should never be represented in a secondary palette color or any other color in the spectrum not identified in the primary palette.

The letters of GBCI should always be one color.

Our logo should always contrast with its background.

To maintain the integrity of the logo, it should be isolated from adjacent content. When positioning the logo, leave a minimum of ‘X’ amount of space all-around, where ‘X’ is equal to the cap height of the wordmark as shown to the right. The length of ‘X’ changes proportionally according to the size of the logo.

Logo Lockup

This lockup should be used in instances when the name needs additional context. The different elements of the logo should not be separated and used individually in place of the logo.

The GBCI logo and the text lock up should always be the same color.

Regional Logos

There will be occasions when it is important to distinguish between the various international regions in which we operate. The following regional lockups are to be used when this distinction is needed. The addition of our signature green communicates that the region is not integral to the over-arching logo, but rather a descriptor within our identity.

The GBCI logo and the region lockup should never be the same color and/or tint. When the full color version is used, the region lockup should be in our primary green. Printed in black or white, the region should be a 50% tint of the logo.

To maintain the integrity of the logo, it should be isolated from adjacent content. When positioning the logo, leave a minimum of ‘X’ amount of space all-around, where ‘X’ is equal to the cap height of the wordmark as shown

Adding New Regions

Always use the primary GBCI wordmark, with the region name typed in PF DIN Display Pro set in medium weight. If a new region is needed, please reach out to marketing@usgbc.org for support.

File Format Guide

PNGs (Portable Network Graphics) are raster based images. PNGs can be saved at as hi-res images but increasing the size of a PNG will reduce the overall quality of the image. A benefit of using PNGs (instead of JPGs) is that they support transparent and semi-transparent backgrounds.

When to use:

  • When a SVG cannot be uploaded eg. on 3rd party apps
